Ha... Groan...
I can't recode this to manual from it seems, so actually have to get a manual from an R32, TT, A3 etc. Or reflash this one with manual transmission software at least. It doesn't accept a coding change in . I really want to know if the other models 's can be recoded to manual, or if it's an issue with the whole lot of them. Also, if they all use 5P08C3 EEPROM for settings. Either way, I have to do some fiddling with this one, or change it.
For the IMMO:
Channel 50 always says either of these: "security access required" if not logged in with the cade, or "error Channel 50 not available" when I *AM* logged in.
To get into channel 50, I tried logging in with the access code (it's currently set at 65387, hex: FF6B). I also logged in, and waited 10 minutes before accessing adaptations (I read on the web it worked for someone) and tried the same, waiting 20 minutes. I disassembled the key, and checked the IMMO was intact - it is - turning on the car with just the key blade brought up "SAFE" on the cluster and engine only ran for a second, so it's intact it seems. I tired with the cluster unplugged too.
Nothing I've tried allows me access so far, and I'm out of ideas. I suuppose I could try with the engine running, though I don't see why that would help...
I have the EEPROM dump (that's where I got the code from) so in theory could manually alter the data, but I don't know that the IMMO4C (if that's what it is) is going to be happy talking to an IMMO4A cluster anyway - I may have to IMMO off it (easy on this EEPROM) and flash it back - - -which I was going to yesterday, just for fun, but I can't write back to it while it's on the board it seems, so will have to de-solder it. Then cover the IMMO light on the Touran cluster.
Any other clever Ideas???
