RCD510 Radio error code in instrument cluster

Hi guys,

Can someone help with this code. Is this critical, as I was experiencing battery drain on my Mk5 GT golf.
I have installed the same list on Can bus as previous install but now have this . I may still have the darin issue, not sure? Can someone suggest how to clean this error from cluster.

Note I have recoded 09-Cent. Elect. as it had gasoline codes in Diesel engine, someone must have replaced AJ from petrol car some time back. Fixed now. Just the Radio issue. Lets see if this helps.

I have my reasons.

For example i can see that you have non-UDS cluster and every single scan with this radio and fault has non-UDS cluster.

Meaning most likely you need UDS cluster to get rid of this error("White cluster").

What is UDS white cluster (part number)? Never heard of such thing. Are you referring to actual instruments or the back end connection.
What would be the issue here as it is only priority code 6?

A UDS cluster would be something like this:

UDS is a term for can-bus communication. Reason behind this most likely radio needs some data from cluster, but doesn't gwt it as the cluster is too old in terms of software to supply it.

Ok , so that means serious operation with immobilizer? as it part of cluster instrument.
Being Priority 6 error is this worth doing?
Another thing is the can bus. Do I need to do special adaptation for that ?
To fix this , what are the step by step instructions. (new cluster instrument model number)

RCD510 does not have this possibility change from BAP to DDP. It's BAP only.

And Golf_vend is correct. This error is due to BAP / DDP communication. Also your RCD510 is the Chinese Delphi version so that might cause other incompatibilities?

Anyway, I would NOT bother to start switching to UDS cluster. Only issue you'll face with the current cluster is that if you add UHV high bluetooth module. For that you cannot get the phone module to show up in the instrument cluster.

I would by the way modify the RCD510 coding a little bit, you have some odd value in the last byte, 00 should be fine as with that the parking assist info is coming through CAN. So I would change the coding to this :

Hey thank you very much, you are correct 100% .
This is a Delphi version and did give me grief long time. CD never worked and could not get out of transport mode.
I don't think it worth doing anything to it. but I will take you advice on board and change the coding .
What do you suggest I do with CAN gateway ?

Was never able to do it . It not the same a pressing the 3 top buttons on Gti versions, as this one only has two separated buttons top side/

Is it a chinese unit? with usb & reverse cam. Aint it something to do with not coded to vehicle?
Each time you disconnect the battery you got to enter radio code.
