Those cars both seem very well equipped, the 6MT SE has leather and sunroof (unlike a 6MT Passat SE). It lacks xenons but they are theoretically going to be available later as part of the "lighting package" option. A bit of Mexican sand/dust in some places but other than that, I couldn't tell that these were from Pueblo. :-)

Luckily i have driven one, and must say i loved it. Although the new Passat b8, is something i would probably love even more. The new 2.0 BiTurbo diesel sounds like a rocket.

I've had mine for about 2 weeks now and I just love it! If there's anything I can do to help you guys figure out codes, let me know. I'm a huge VW fan and I love my Vag com. Even though I've had it for years, I'm still learning what it all can do.

I was surprised to see that I have a fault code in the Central Electronics module especially since it's a new car. Any ideas what that could be? Anything I should be worried about? Should I clear it and see if it pops up again? Thanks for wrapping it Uwe. I tried to do it but it didn't work for me and I watched the video 2x...doh!

That fault code was flagged Intermittent in addition to Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear so I bet the module was flash updated and someone forgot to clear fault codes. I would clear it for now.

I work for Volkswagen of Salem County and I'm gonna start emailing channel maps of 2014 models as I do PDI's on them. Should I post the auto scan here? VCDS makes removing them from transport mode and getting a log file so much faster than ODIS or VAS PC. I love it!
I was told the 2015 models will be a E PDI online. Not exactly sure what that means yet, but I'll find out soon enough.

I'm wondering about the fault in 17 Instruments. I'll admit I tried to code my MFD to show "Refuel Quantity" but it never worked and me being super anal didn't write down the original Binary code (not sure how that happened....). I was supposed to do this....Go to Byte 10, Enable bit 4. I "think" the original was 01101010 but the code now is 00001011 and it still doesn't work. I've tried to change it but it keeps going back to 00001011.

I'm also wondering about the fault in 5F Information Electronics. I have never tried to change anything with the radio. It does act strange though. Sometimes when I turn it on it will default to radio station that doesn't exist and other times it will start up on the last one I was on. Thanks!!!

It might be updating the subscriptions, but based on the Auto-Scan I'd say it's not well.
Not certain, but that may be a CP enabled module....

flygyeye: Notwithstanding Jakematic's sage advice, I can confirm that the default value of byte 10 for 17-Instrument is Hex6A (or 0110 1010). I checked my initial scan when the car was new and whilst our coding strings do differ, the higher order bytes are almost identical on our two cars.

I have the same climate control unit 5G0907044 and i wont to make it functional on 2006 car...golf 5 it can be done?
Pin-out it is the same but i do not know if comunication is it steel the same.
