Hi, when selecting 01-Engine, I always get the Labels Redir fail. Casting many of the function to be "hidden" I am unable to do stuff. Have not seen this on the other main Groups. Please help me sort this, as I am unable to do adaptations and arv measuring etc.
See partial scan below, affected group 01- Engine.

This is another one from that generation where VCDS knows it exists, but I don't have anything specifically for it in either English or German. :(

So I will still be unable to fully use my VCDS on my own car ? :(
Are there no fix, tricks, tips or solutions?

You can see and use measurement values and adaptation channels, there is just no explanation/help.
You can post data from the ECU, see here to make controller maps.
Files are in C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Logs
Post both here between [code] [/code] (or send to Support).
Is there something specific you need ?

Found out that this is the cause for me not being able to to forced DPF region, as well as being unable to run an adaptation of throttle body and egr. Also unable to enter Advanced measuring.

Due to faultfinding on temp sensor, I need a correct map/chart/desciptions of Control module -01- Engine blocks, so that I can check values to what seems more correct.
At the moment block 098.4 seems fixed at 41.3 deg Celsius, and block 099.4 fixed at 224.2 deg Celsius, need to know which sensors these are.

Would very much like to know what the windows/tags in Group 007 (007.1, 007.2, 007.3 and 007.4. various air temps and cooling water, I think, but not 100% sure
Group 033.2 (second tag/window of Group 033)
Group 039.3 (third tag/window of Group 033)
Group 043.2 (second tag/window of Group 043)
All tags/windows in group 046 and 047
Group 061.2 (second tag/window of Group 061)
All tags/windows in group 098 and 099
Group 102.1 and 102.2 (First and second tag/window of Group 102)

Basically I am hunting for all the block regarding engine and exhaust temp sensors,
* Exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor, -G98, sits in the EGR cooler
* My car has the CANC engine, the 2.7tdi, and as far as I have found out so far it is only the 3.0tdi that has the EGT sender no 1, -G235-, located on the exhaust manifold flange in Turbo.
* Exhaust gas sender no 2, not found any written traces or evidence of this one so far, could it be the Landa Probe, -G39- that sits just before the catalytic converter?
* Exhaust gas temperature sender 3, -G495-, that sits on the front exhaust pipe, just below/after the flange for the catalytic converter
* Exhaust gas temperature sender 4, -G648-, that sits just before/above the particulate filter.

No controller maps ?
Autoscans and controller maps are needed for Ross-Tech and others, like me, to make label files.
We have few cars available, compared what is driving out in the world.

This is more than some specific needed, maybe Ross-Tech will make a label file some time.
But here is something.

as well as being unable to run an adaptation of throttle body and egr.
Also unable to enter Advanced measuring.
There is no adaptation for throttle body.
Advanced measureing is first available (on this ECU type) when label file is available.

At the moment block 098.4 seems fixed at 41.3 deg Celsius,
and block 099.4 fixed at 224.2 deg Celsius, need to know which sensors these are.
For 098.4 you have a problem, as I wrote in other tread, please test it (manual work).
099.2 and 099.4 is not used/supported, only on few specific controllers, if at all! (I have not seen it yet)

Would very much like to know what the windows/tags in Group 007 (007.1, 007.2, 007.3 and 007.4. various air temps and cooling water, I think, but not 100% sure

007,1,Fueltemp
007,2,Oiltemp.
007,3,Intake air temp.
007,4,Cooling water

033.2 Temp before turbo
039.3 Intake air temp.
043.2 Outside air temp.
061.2 Oiltemp.
102.1 Temp. before DPF
102.2 Unknown, not verified, could be model calc. DPF surface temp.

You can also take apart connectors and look at the measuring values to find out which it is.

According to Audi Document it is vacant.
Code:
102 Exhaust gas cleaning
Only on vehicles with particulate filter
  1) Exhaust gas temperature after pre-catalyst A5, B8, Q5, C6
      [°C]
  2) Vacant
  3) Particulate filter differential pressure
      0 ... 950 mbar
  4) Differential pressure offset particulate filter
      [mbar]

So it should not matter.

Thank you for the good and well explained reply, Controller maps has been sent to support, by mail (3 files, a A and B file + normal scan)

Rechecked wiring loom, still 3,5ish volts on pin 2 to gnd, and closed circuit between pin 1 and gnd

The 098.4 with its 41.3 deg Celsius, was measured today again, same reading with sender connested or not. Then used a 15ohm resistor and got an a low temp alarm on EGR temp sender, then installed a 160ish ohm resistor and got a new reading of 17deg Celsius and no alarm present. Now the 098.4 had been confirmed as temp sender on the EGR cooler (in my vehicle anyway), as well as most likely the cause for alarm/MIL warning issues. New in order

Uwe, as this thread has been used in both equipment support and for vehicle repair, would you (or anyone else) assit in cleaning up thread and move to repair?

Thanks alot for all help with respect to groups, very very much appreciated.

Please advice if posted maps has not been received by Your team.

Regards

Thanks for the update. I can confirm we received the files via email. We do not have a label file to offer you but the maps will be helpful. I realize you don't have a Regen specific concern currently however this 2.7 TDI thread resulted in success: Audi A6 C6 2,7l TDI CR engine CANA DPF regeneration login needed

I can easily add to the subject of this thread and move it to the Car Repair section for you.

Edit, Done. New subject contains the car details: 2010 A6 2.7TDI (CANC) with P040D | Hex net V2, Labels: Redir Fail!

Hi, could you kind folks bare over with me?

Struggeling with making sence with info from you compared to schematics, and what I have observed. In ElsaWin it shows my car not fitted with EGT 1 (situated just before Turbo), as well as DPF situated well below/after DPF, but on another figure it shows DPF directly after the turbo.

According to your info, this should be the various temp sensors and therefore their position and tags
From you: -01- 033.2 temp sensor before turbo -> exhaust gas temp sender 1 (G235) which apparently my car is not supposed to have, and I have no evidence of having (not found/seen yet). But if car has this temp sender, things make more sense with respect to VCDS readings.
From you: -01- 102.1 temp sensor before DPF -> assuming manual stating DPF after catalytic converter this would be exhaust gas temp sender 4 (G648)

Can you please tell me what temprature is show in control module -01- 99.3?
Based on high value range I expect exhaust gas temp sender 3 (G495). But then again we have the mismatch between manual and info from you and readings via VCDS.

According to manual the -01- 033.2, could be exhaust gas temp sender 3 (G495), as wiring diagrams and manual stated that my car (2.7tdi CANC) do not have exhaust gas temp sender 1 (G235)?
Temprature range on this one, however, indicated it is «high up» on exhaust pipe.

I have temp readings from low to higher tag:
-01- 033.3. 324deg Celsius -(EGT 1)? Then situated before turbo, should not have😶
-01- 098.4 41.3deg Celsius, situated on EGR cooler temp, but sender prob bad/defect
-01- 099.3 253deg Celsius (EGT 3)? Situated after catalytic cov, if before DPF
-01- 100.1 236deg Celsius ??????
-01- 102.1. 265deg Celsius (EGT 4)?
Just before DPF
-01- 102.2. 254deg Celsius, to me this value is always the same as the -01- 099.3 when comparing in live VCDS
-01- 234.1 225deg Celsius ???????

Isn't it a weird cross checked calculated value and added up in conjunction with other EGT's "forever changing" at some point & this can be verified with a variable resistor to watch them and see with a DVOM & to not escape the stacks manipulation of the data reported in VCDS?

Manual tests of each and isolating them in advanced to further verify a block value reported as physically observed is advised, right?

Post repair (hopefully) update.
Replaced sensor in EGR cooler with new OEM part, cleared error, and no warning so far.

1) used VagCom, checked error code and measured signal, confirmed one value fixed.
2) got help regarding conformation of label, not explained for my engine.
2) used a few resistors, discomnected sensor from connected, and inserted the different resistors in connector. This confirmed the specific senor tag/label in VCDS, and also the change in value according to resistor confirmed sensor.
3) OEM part connected to plug, cleared warning, tested with engine running, no alarms. Temp value dispayed was now logic
4) Removed defect sensor from EGR cooler, istalled the new one into EGR cooler, temp values increased somewhat with power, and lowers for stoppef engine, no warnings ->. Seems OK.
