Get a
wiring diagram for your specific car. Trace back from the far side of the actuators in question. When you find a place that they all get +12V from, that's the likely culprit.
Thanks
@Uwe. I saw
erWin in this group so it is a good time for me to learn about it.
I got myself some analysis tools and I just need a
wiring diagram hopefully from
erWin. I did play with the multimeter a bit and took a random actuator. After seeing that the voltage of the battery is at 11.8v at the boot, I also measured the same at the front terminal under the wipers. Then I measured V+ from the windscreen washer actuator which turned out to be around 11.7v at battery only power. I never thought of measuring with the car started.
The voltage issue you put forward makes sense and I do observe it in historic scans via Vbatt start/Vbatt end and Vign. I plotted these historic values and they do fluctuate. Since I was only getting familiar with the multimeter after years of not using it, I didnt do a test plan.
However, I did not pick up anything that made me suspect that the long cable to the battery in the boot is causing a voltage drop. This is where the
wiring diagram comes in and I will seek one.
This is quite a learning experience and I feel less intimidated.
