Well as you can see the 2015 TDI is gone however, impressed by the protection. Hit - I was stopped, other was at 70mph coming to zero. In new Jetta SE, but it's gas
Want to:
1 have the auto lock honk the horn
2 disable the Auto Stop switch
3 increase the 3 to 5 blinks on directional
4 any way to shorten those dash messages, time shown

Well I'm very new to this stuff so please do not use alphabet soup, however just what Jetta do I have mark? or ?
Thanks

For context, there seem to be an Auto-Scan here:

Have no idea what your point is, ie ab Auto-Scan.

You show in a blue box some data relative to a scan posted to site earlier I think.

(Also the comment never got sent to my email, ??)

Well, you would like to make "tweaks" to your car. In order to provide specific advice, people have to know how the car is equipped and configured, and for that, an Auto-Scan is the very first thing needed.

Re point 2 after 'Dieselgate' VW have 'locked down' changes that affect emissions, so coding out start/stop is no longer possible from IIRC MY2019 onwards.

Point 2 cannot be coded out... but if your car has driving modes it can probably be "edited" out, given the gateway shown in your scan...

None of that is VCDS work though, so IF that interests you better to discuss elsewhere, or PM.
Don't use that SSA off in dataset from jille with offroad mode! this will also disable ESC and other safety related things!

So spoiler tags work even though I can't select them in the post editing menu... nice.
What things? And where is this reported and/or being measured? Or is it documented somewhere?
Not asking for debate, asking out of genuine curiosity... I don't even have start/stop.

There is the control that jilleb changed, but there is another control also named ESC, and one for ASR.
- I plan to experiment with both of these to see if I can, for instance, set Sport mode to disable ASR.

In my experience, unless you get a dash/infotainment warning, the only way to know if a given control actually changed something is to check the real time values in a given module.

So, the increase from 3 to 5 (item 3) appears to be possible however unclear how, did a search and found before however not NOW.

Since the responses are filled with short hand, SSA, ESC, VCDS, MQB, IIRC, and so on.

Recall what I said from the start
"Well I'm very new to this stuff so please do not use alphabet soup, however just what Jetta do I have mark? or ?"
Have NO idea what is being suggested.

and

Also the comment never got sent to my email, ?? Why

Again the new-be gets confused by the simplest things.

Also beginning to realize that each car may have different capabilities, but have not found out or where these can be determined for my VW

When you see an acronym in dark green, such as VCDS and MQB, if you hover your cursor, they will usually be defined for you.
ESC is Electronic Stability Control.
IIRC - If I Remember Correctly.
SSA - that one escapes me at the moment. I know I should know it. Old head is not remembering. Something to do with Stop Start - maybe Stop Start Adaptation? Not sure.

As a newbie, you need to ask about the things you do not understand. Most users here quickly become advanced using the jargon related to VAG. To converse here, you are going to have to learn the jargon. When confused, ask.

Thank you for that, agree once used I too will understand the jargon.

Biggest problem is that nothing is being sent to my email, any ideas on this? Trying not to call.

Perhaps my colleague @Santos has an answer as to why emails are not sent.

¡Vuelve RootsTech!

from <info@email.rootstech.org> which was in my SPAM folder.
does not appear from sender address that it's from the forum, but from Company direct - perhaps some advertising
