Hey guys. Totally new here and am in need of help and knowledge. ;)
So the project we have undertaken is to put a VW mk6 tdi into a mk6 gti chassis. We are using the ECM from the diesel and the body control module from the gti (so that we can keep all the luxury features the old tdi did not have).
The project has gone alright so far and we have gotten the car to run and drive, however it doesn't have the power it should. We eliminated all the check engine lights and the only light that remains on is the ABS. We purchased the Ross tech scanning tool and the long coding for the brake controller is incorrect. Could this cause the car to go into a sort of limp-mode?
There were a few different modules which need the original long coding. Is there anyway to get the original coding for this car?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

So went and tried the new coding this morning and it was rejected. The brake controller we are using for the car is the original one from the gti so the Vin provided in the auto-scan (I believe) is incorrect. I listed the Vin for the gti in my first post. Do you know if the coding would be different for the controller from the gti vs the tdi?

The ABS controller read the vin that's stored in the cluster/immo.

Because you used also the TDI cluster with the VIN: WVWMM7AJ6BW317366 the ABS coding should be:

etz2k the coding worked perfect!! We got the ABS working properly and followed the relearning process that Ross tech had posted a video for. That's another light off the cluster! 😁

There are a couple more issues tho. The auto HVAC shows up with no coding and the climate control unit doest work at all. Could this also just be a simple coding issue? It is the original unit that was in the gti.

We also installed the auxiliary heater that was in the tdi but the auto-scan shows no signal/communication. I'm confused as to where the auxiliary Heat controller is tho ... or is it just simply controlled by the body control module? Thanks guys

Sadly I don't have either of those scans. We only purchased the VCDS scanner after we were quite a ways into the swap. ( had I known how amazing it works I'd have bought it much sooner 😝)

Is that gonna be an issue that I don't have the previous auto-scans?
