Just looking over the quick overview here:
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/us/politics/2020-presidential-candidates.html
Based off the limited information provided, not the full picture so my views are subject to change.
Like (relatively speaking):
Bennet - Relatively moderate and wants to modernize the economy and focus on developing better technologies? I could live with that!
Gabbard - Stresses isolation from overseas affairs? That's a good stance in my eyes. There's also quite a bit of evidence the Syrian Rebels were the ones who actually used chemical weapons, not the government.
Ryan - Supposedly is in favor of taking a harder stance on trade deals, maybe not to the degree of Trump, but that's a good focus to have.
Dislike:
Biden - Props up low skill work for more pay? No thanks.
Bullock - Anti-Gun, Trying to force pre-kindergarten education, and "income inequality" AKA higher taxes.
Castro - See Bullock, add "Medicare for all". I'm already paying way more of my paycheck to the elderly than I care to be.
Delaney - "Universal Health Care"... Next.
Hickenlooper - Expand medicaid, and gun control. No.
Inslee - The Champion of Climate Change mentality is a no go for me. I'm in favor of funding new more efficient sources of energy (see ITER/fusion post in Neat Science threads), but the way the government forces/regulates it is too imposing.
Sanders - LOL
Sestak - See Inslee
Swalwell - Witch Hunt on Trump and vehemently Anti-Gun
Warren - Ok Pocahontas
Williamson - "$100 Billion in slavery reparations" Get. The. Fuck. Out.
Yang - $1000 in universal basic income for all American adults. This is $3 Trillion more in taxes every year. Current Federal Budget is $4 Trillion. Yeah no thanks.
Indifferent:
de Blasio
Gillibrand
Harris
Klobucher
Messam
O'Rourke
Interesting Dynamic:
37 year old Mayor of South Bend Indiana
Pete Buttigieg - Could be a wild card depending on how much Millenials prioritize rallying behind one of their own in the primaries.
My personal early favorite is the Colorado Senator, Michael Bennet.
