Hi, long time user, but infrequent poster.

I've retrofitted PLA, Side Assist, Tow Bar and Tow Assist, HBA and TPMS to a Transporter T6.1 2021. All going well but I've run into a couple of issues. Thought I could use VCDS to resolve but looks like I may need VCP or even ODIS support from one of the members here.

First issue is with a new TPMS module that needs parameter file uploaded

I could generate RDKS parameters for you, but you have to have the other tool with you to fill them in, I have retrofitted RDKS on my own car, I hope you did a background detective work to settle on 5q0 907 273d to be correct for your VIN... Hi, Thank you, yes I've got the correct module 5Q0 907 273 D and I’ve created the RDKS, unfortunately I don’t have access to ODIS or VCP to upload it. Yes, the T6Forum is excellent and I’m a VIP member there. I’ve asked for assistance there as well but no luck finding someone local as yet

It's probably too late, but the T6.1 has an electric steering rack, so the windscreen-mounted front camera can be installed, which provides much better HBA than the small mirror-mounted camera, besides Lane Assist and other stuff.

VCDS is confused by the fact this module doesn't belong in your VN46 chassis.

If you go directly to the 20: High Beam Assist. module, I think VCDS might let you pick a file manually.

Thanks @Uwe, when I do an autoscan it picks up that there is no VN46 ROD file for module 20. When I select the module it gives a list of options. I chose VN37 as it's for a T6 and it's accepted, I checked the coding and adaptions, and all OK, but when I do another autoscan to check for errors I get the same fault, no VN46 ROD file for module 20. Is it possible to create a ROD file for VN46 please?

I think there are other methods for us to address retrofits like this that are preferable.

@Dana can we do something in the 8S0-857-511 label file? Or perhaps ReDir.rod?

In the meanwhile, you have all the control module ID data in the Auto-Scan, and it even shows "No fault code found". Since you have the ability to load an appropriate ROD file manually when you access the module directly, this strikes me as not much more than a cosmetic problem in the Auto-Scan.

Thanks @Uwe once I’ve selected the ROD file VN37 I can access the module but this has to be done every time. Would be very helpful to have either a VN46 file or as you mentioned above a work around. Many thanks once again, greatly appreciated, Nick

Hi guys,

Since that HBA controller appears to be found in models like the Alhambra I added a VW36 chassis redirect to the label file.

That will make it into the next Data Version updater (which is always found at this location: https://ross-tech.de/downloads/upd) but if you want to test it prior to the next updater please email support with a link to this thread and we can send that to you directly.
