re. Security Code

Dear fellas,

is there any way to obtain a Security Code required for Adaptation within Engine Controller? I'd like to modify my Idle Speed Adjustment a little, the system won't let me through unless I have my Security Code...VW Scirocco 1.4 TSi Twincharger, MY2009.

ok, before I copy my CODE tags, can you please tell me if there IS or IS NOT any way to raise my idle on this engine thru VCDS without a help of VW? I´m not sure, though, as to whether you could answer, since I´m guessing this forum is predominantly based in U.S., and Scirocco 137 was never released there...

How do you suppose anyone should know this without seeing what ECU you have?

Just as I thought you have a pirate cable because your using 12.12.0.0, which are not welcome on here.

How to get Verified

The genuine VCDS is expensive, cost a weeks pay for me, but is well worth it considering the help you will receive from the forum not to mention the wiki which you can access anyway. I used to use Autoenginiuty, not cheaper but covered all makes. I used the wiki often enough to feel guilty and bought VCDS. First post on forum received fast, friendly, patient, and helpful responses. And no. I don't think you can get your sky with VCDS. I have used vag commander on b5 A4's and c5 A6's to get it from ecu eeprom or cluster dump. in ecu it is address's 12 and 22 in hex. Put second one in front of first (e.g. 4f 22 would be 22 4f) convert hex to decimal and if four digits put 0 in front to get 5 digit skc. Yours is newer so its not the same. VCDS is worth the money!
