Hi Guys , My 1st post and a relative beginner to VCDS. I had a bit of use with older versions of VCDS used on MK4 Golfs but that was a long while back.
I know this will have been asked a hundred times before over various cars but is it possible to change from Direct TPMS to Indirect TPMS
I have the HEX-V2 and my car is a May 2018 UK Audi RS3 which had the performance pack upgrade which gave it the Direct TPMS system over the standard Indirect system.
I have fitted my winter alloys which do not have the TPMS sensor valves installed, after which several tyre fitters said, not to bother installing the TPMS valves as they caused more trouble than they was worth and either just put up with the warning or turn the system off until you put the original alloys back on the vehicle.
I would rather if possible convert to the standard Indirect system and then switch back to Direct once my original alloys go back on, is this possible please.
