Hi there:)

I'm new here, but plan on staying and learning in the process.

So my first question is this:

In the first image, at the line "Market/Emissions"(first picture), what difference would it make to the car if the coding said "10"(EURO 3) instead of "11"(EURO 4)?

So then instead of the code reading "0011779"(Second Picture), it would read "0010779"?

The car is a 2007 Facelift Touareg with a V6 TDI BKS engine. It has no DPF or catylic converter, and the EGR has a blocking plate installed.

Isn't this car supposed to have a DPF, EGR and catalytic converter installed from factory?

ECUs will not accept changes to the coding for emissions requirements that they meet.

So would it be impossible to change that? Also, what things will the car do differently in "10" other than what it does in "11"?

The 1st generation of Tregs did not have a DPF in South Africa. Instead it has a resonator.

I can assure you that the car came with both a CAT and an EGR system...

Correct, cannot be changed via diagnostics. If you wish to eliminate emissions systems, you will have to talk to a tuner.

I have no idea. One would have to have the specifications for the ECU's software in order to know that, and VW doesn't share those with us.

701F ECU is 7GN - EU4 and DPF Preparation (means ready for DPF but no DPF)
For example 701E ECU (also BKS) is 7GG - EU4 + DPF

what you try to do ?
what is a problem

I was scrolling through all the options in VCDS. Just curiosity...
