Does the rear washer pump work?

Does it leak? The design of these washer pump connections especially to the rear are a bit poor. This causes sometimes the pipe to leak inside the boot door and cause all shorts of electrical failures.
Remove the boot lid inner cover and check first that the washer pipe is not leaking. The symptoms look a bit like it is.

Nope, neither of the washer pumps work, no sign of water behind boot lid trim.
All fuses are okay, and reversing lamp is working in a different car.

Maybe the pump has then given it's final breath? :)

Open or short to ground indicates that there's a short circuit somewhere. Either in the pump itself or in the wiring to the pump. You could of course remove the pump and try to run it with external 12v power to see if the pump really is the issue.

Sorry, looked first at the rear wiper motor.

Pump is 1K6955651 according to ETKA.

Have you checked the wiring? Especially wires inside the tube between hatch door and frame

Faulty relay. Replaced relay behind panel next to steering wheel.
Works okay now.
