Genuine vw factory scan tool

Hi peeps

Anyone know where i can get the genuine factory scanner vas5054a with softwares the whole shabang.

My local audi stealers dont have a clue.

Any info much appreciated.

In the US, there's an official source. We affectionately call them Equipment Delusions; the are a division of Snap On.

I Germany, I understand that you would order through a dealer.

In the UK, I have no idea, sorry.

Look up the order/part number for the special tool via erWin, then ask your dealer to order it for you.

At this point I wouldn't order a VAS 5054/5055 anymore but rather a VAS 6154 in combination with ODIS.

VAS 6154 Diagnosis interface W-LAN ASE40543100000
VAS 6154 Diagnosis interface USB ASE40543100001
VAS 5054A Remote diagnosis head ASE40525001001
VAS 5055 Diagnosis interface ASE40525500001

Software is of course separate, so once you have the hardware you need to go through the whole SVM/GeKo registration process in erWin.

Well I can tell you that no one needs factory HW except dealers. Use any quality J2534 / J2534-2 pass thru-tool and just buy subscription to your needs....

Hi Guys I have a genuine VAS5054A and need a version of Odis (happy to pay, prefer not) as my version that is 5.2.6 only allows the 6154.
Any ideas?

For the UK:
This is out of date now:
Email address is still correct but prices are cheaper

VAS6154A = £1200
Key card is £15 per month
flat rate is 10Euro an hour or 30 per day

For coding etc you need geko access and you have to apply to VAG for this and takes around 6-12 months to get authorised
