This car got its nose out of joint in an altercation with the trailer hitch on a Jeep Cherokee. The damage was largely cosmetic, except for ACC sensor 2. The cosmetics have been repaired, but the dealer was missing some of the tools needed to re calibrate the ACC, so it hasn't been done yet.

I'm told there are mechanical adjusters on the sensor.

There's a Basic Setting in these modules named "Reset misalignment angle" but I didn't try it -- yet. :D

Hello Uwe
maximum deviation 0,8° and should be adjusted, will be noticeable in control mode.
Over 1,4° fault will be set.
To adjust you need wheel alignment equipment with VAS 6430/1 and VAS 6430/3

OK, so this car has been in service (being used mostly locally) since my last post. This weekend I took it just around the corner to get some fuel for my lawn equipment (it's leaf clean-up season) and I noticed that the warning for ACC and Front Assist was no longer active!

Nothing has been done to the car. In fact, I have an appointment to have it calibrated at the dealer on Wednesday morning.

So today we scanned it and found the following fault codes:

For those who don't read German, it basically implies that second-generation sensors are indeed capable of self-calibration to some extent.

Be that as it may, we're going to play with it at the dealer tomorrow anyway, just to see what the process is like, and maybe to get the angle deviation a little better than 0.89° and -1.00°. :D

So... Dealer put it on the rack today. Unfortunately, we did not arrive early enough to see it in real-time, but they took some pictures for me:

Sensor adjustment is very accessible after removing the access panels:

They say the "Fast Algorithm" values are the ones that change during the adjustment.

The "Horizontal angle deviation" values did not change at all (verified identical even after a short test drive). I suspect these are some kind of long-term "trim" and I am curious to see if they do change with time and miles..
