VCDS-Mobile on both Android and Windows always gets stuck on my HN1-000216 trying to access the 26-Auto Roof module:

but VCDS sure works fine:

A debug 001f from mobile would be helpful to check what is happening here.

It's receiving a weirdly concatenated packet it looks like a 7f 31 error in the middle of some keepalives.
Code:
callback:20202020ef81f1a07e9081f1a07e9083f1a07f1a31de81f1a07e9081f1a07e90000000
This could mean something with the kline timing is off like the latency timeout is too high leading to concatenation.
You could try making a debug 011f it might help clarify if this is timing related. Do you have a kline analyzer it would be good to see how much time was between those packets on the wire?

I agree with Shaun, this is very weird :D

Debug level 011F is already on its way to Shaun and Eric, sorry don't have a K-Line analyzer, couldn't you just add time stamps to the debug level outputs? Just wondering why nobody came across this since this is has been quite a popular car especially in the US?

Detlef can you please try making these scans again with the new alpha CB V0.4644?

Congratulations Shaun works just fine on 26-Auto Roof but now it gets stuck on 15-Airbags without even showing any module data, want me to send you the 011F debug file?

I was afraid of that, the faster timing needed for the 26 breaks things on another module. OK so what I can do is revert the timing speed, and then put in the faster timing only for modules at address 26 and we can see how that works.

If there is no way to measure the timing, I would only speed it up for this specific part number unless you have other reports of incompatibilities for other part numbers

Great job, Shaun, communications with all modules seem to work just fine now - but I noticed another problem I had not noticed before and which has been existing at least since November: VCDS Mobile skips 17-Instruments even though it is listed in the scan list, I tried 3 times. Manual selection and communication with 17-Instruments work just fine but it is skipped during Auto-Scan even though VCDS Mobile says it is trying to connect. I will send you a debug file by mail.

Bump for alpha CB V0.4647
* Comms improvements
Thanks but sorry to tell you it skips 3 out of 7 modules on a 2004 Beetle during Auto-Scan and is very reluctant to communicate with 46 :-(. Want some debug data?

Sure, if this is with VCDS 1028 debugs are a good start. Can it talk to the other modules individually?

thanks sure would love to but after 10 tries seems like my HEX-NET won't write to the sd card anymore even though it is already a replacement card. To make things worse, I ran out of dedicated sd cards, so is there a way to format/repair my sd card or format a different one?

Yes, last time I tried it would talk to every module individually, so I suppose it has problems reading/processing the address list.

If you are trying to make this log through VCDS-Mobile, then the debug level would be 001f. See if that makes the log.

You could try mounting the card on windows and running a disk clean, that might be able to fix it. If the card is readable but just won't write, you could also try copying the data to a new card.
