Cannot test on 1st use

Hi

I have had my cable for a number of years and have recently connected it to my car, I am not a mechanic and only brought the cable to check for errors before my car went into the garage. I would always skip the £50 + charge from garages. However connecting the cable to my car and a new laptop I cannot run a test and scan my car. I have attached a few screenshots of the errors I get, can someone help me resolve this please?

I forgot to mention I have the Micro-Can cable. While this is out of production surely is should still work.

Did you have USB clicked? Seems like you have things selected to work with our newest interface, the HEX-NET which connects by WiFi.

Yes, I downloaded the latest version off VCDS and tried the cable. As it did not work as default I tried the different options, the response was the same though

Was the interface plugged into the car? It gets its power from the car. Did the lights on the interface light?
Is the fuse to the diagnostic port good?

Yes the cable was connected to the car and the light was on, the fuse is also good too. The USB ports on the laptop also work with no issues

Did you put a tick-mark in next to the "Install USB Drivers for Legacy Interfaces" option on the Choose Components page of the installer? This is necessary if you using a legacy interface and installing VCDS on a new computer for the first time.

This is done during the installatino process off the program? If so, i have not changed anything. I installed it as is.

I will reinstall and post back in the evening after trying again
