Please post a scan of the unit, for further review.
But, tire pressure coincides with wheel speed, hence might post ABS issue when there is actually none.
Also, when weather gets extremely hot or cold, any tire that is right in the boundary of being out of spec will now be out of spec, and post a code when in fact just make sure all are equal, just a thought. Cheaper than buying ABS modules and tire sensors.

I looked over the 03-ABS coding and believe it is configured correctly but this VIN doesn't show a PR-Code for TPMS type (i.e. 7K0, 7K6, etc) so I cannot confirm it was factory equipped. Due to the coding of address 17-Instruments I suspect indirect 7K6 indirect TPMS was factory enabled.
This RHD CFFB / Manual trans Sharan Blue Motion has a GVL which includes 4C-Tire Pressure II -- Status: OK 0000:

I suspect someone tinkered with the 19-CAN Gateway [Installation List] function. Please connect to 19, click [Installation List], tick the 4C box and [Save coding]. After doing so inflate the tires properly, reset the indirect TPMS via the button or MFA/cluster menu and try driving the vehicle. If it wont' learn the TPMS values something may be wrong with the wheel speed sensors, wheel bearings, etc. That may be why someone attempted to disable it in the installation list.

P.S. I just checked the PR-Codes on the other Sharan and it did NOT have a 7K? code either. I'm thinking the lack of PR code may be normal and they may all have indirect TPMS?
Hey Dana thanks. Yes I've changed the coding in 17 the dash to code out the light so it won't be flashing. Also have ticked the 4c box in installation list in 19 can, still no joy. 
. When I got the car nothing was working on it like parking sensors, blue tooth, esp, abs etc, so I copied codes from a seat alhambra, I can't get my hands on another sharan atm.

Mark did you try enabling indirect TPMS in all of the modules at the same time and resetting the system yet? I believe doing so would involve coding:
I would imagine a key cycle would be needed before some fault codes clear and you might want to reset TPMS big hammer style in 03 via Basic Settings 042 (rather than MFA or button).
Some vehicles require a test drive before TPMS DTCs will clear, which gives the ABS module time to check plausibility of the speed sensor data, and other models will reset at a stand-still. Either way, a scan in that condition might shed light.
If you still have the goofy TPMS DTCs we might want to check an Adaptation function map from 03. Channel 005 has some interesting notes in the label file and I think 2 = Tire Pressure Management System (TPMS) Plus active (7N0-614-109-* from SW 0020>) would apply.
I think you'll have wrong hand drive codes with Jack's coding but we don't have much on the C3 modules so please report back on his coding suggestion if you test it.
