No, it does not mean you are registered - they are just uploaded to the cloud server.
Once you register with VCDS Cloud you can view them from any browser without HN by going to https://vcds-cloud.com/index.html

More importantly you will be able to use advanced function of HEX-NET.

You need to go into the module while HN is plugged into car.
From main screen click [Select]

Enter the module number and click [Go] and you get a screen like this:

From there click on [Functions] and you will be asked to register for VCDS Cloud access.

Your HN must have internet access to do this, whether by tethering to iPhone or connection to your wifi.

You are aware that the Hex-Net does NOT appear on your desktop or in a Finder window? Have you done the following?

1. Connect the Hex-Net to an USB port ON your Mac.
2. Wait until all 3 lights on the Hex-Net are lit.
3. Go the Apple Menu and select "About This Mac"
4. In the resulting window, click on "More Info"
5. In the next window, click on "System Report"
6. In the left pane of the report window, click on "USB" under the "Hardware" section

Correct! I just plug the Hex-Net into the USB port, launch Safari on my iPad (which is connected to my WiFi network), and enter the I.P. address assigned to the Hex-Net by my router. Hex-Net <-> Router via WiFi <-> Internet (a very simplified path diagram)

I'll try your suggestion this afternoon. This the first time I owned an apple computer. I just look under "FIND", "DEVICES" and I do not see anything plugged to my computer. All the lights were lilt at the time I try to look for it.

That is because it is not a Hard Disk, External Disk, CD, DVD, or iPod. Those are the only options in Finder>Preferences>Sidebar other than your computer name (which I have de-selected).

Ok. I was able to register to the cloud and was able to go to the link you mentioned and logged in but was not able to view my previously saved files that i can view on my iPhone.

It's possible those files have not synched with the server yet. You can always access them directly using your phone and synch them manually.

should i put "0" under channel, stored value or new value? Currently there is "2" under channel, stored value=1 and new value =1. I tried "0" for new value but it didn't work. Do i need the engine running or ignition to "ON"?

2 is the channel number.
1 is what's currently in there ("Stored value").
0 is what you want in there ("New Value" which will become the "Stored Value") when you get it done.
Ignition needs to be ON.

Hi, I used to be able to reset the "SERVICE DUE" reminder on my dashboard by resetting Channel 53 & 55 new value to "0" until I had the software update there other day. Is there a different way now?
