So are we going to have a moment of silence for the latest drone victim?

Nothing a ladder couldn't fix, but Chloe got very upset until I got the drone down :)

I started off with a little quad like that 3-4 years ago and looks what happens if you leave more than one together (they multiply) -

I got a new $50 shipped FPV quad and it's quite large compared to my son's robust but tiny Sky Viper:

Camera (and pilot) are not the greatest:

Still, it didn't get lost (yet) so that counts for something. :)

Good news ;) as of this morning, your drone is still accounted for. Bad news: it's still 40ft up in a tree.

Forty feet up in a tree, you say? Isn't there an animal with a long neck that eats leaves off the top of trees? :)

We formulated several recovery plans, all involving a high probability of bodily injury / property loss / incarceration ... with a low probability of intact drone retrieval.

Also it stayed alive, broadcasting video to my phone and allowing occasional futile propeller spinning for another 20 min or so. I have several minutes of agonizing video.
