As noted. The VIN is WV3AB47001H15080. It's a 2001 VW Winnebago Rialta.
I have a hex-can system. I tried it as a 70 and a 7D chassis. No comm with the vehicle.

My snap-on Verus-Pro will comm with all the modules. The Vag shows a 70 as 1991 to 1996
and the 7D as a 1996 to 2004. I am not understanding why it's VIN is showing a 70 when it's a 2001 ?
Also, what could be the issue with the no comm with my Vag hex-can ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Obviously, I can't do an auto-scan....

The Auto-Scan selection goes primarily by sales type. While all T4's had the '70' VINs, the 1991-1996 were actually '70' sales type while the 1996-2004 were '7D' sales type. Check your production data plate (the pr-code sticker), if I remember correctly it's at the base of the drivers seat on the T4. You should find the 6-digit sales type starting with 7D.

As far as your communication problem goes, what exactly does VCDS > Options > Test say?

Eurovans of that vintage (we have one, but it's just a van, not a motorhome) were notorious for having the OBD-II socket recess a bit into the surrounding trim under the steeering column. This could cause the OBD-II diagnostic plug to bottom out on the trim and not seat fully in the socket.
