Hex-usb+Can and 2019 Golf GTi

Evening all,

I have a hex-usb+can cable which has done me well over the past how ever many years! Not had a VAG car for a while and we’re picking up a 2019 Golf GTi Performance Pack tomorrow.
I see that my cable no longer supports many modules in the new cars and understand the reasons why.
My question is what will my cable be able to do with the car? Anything or nothing?
Can’t remember which version of vcds I have but it isn’t the latest ones.

Hex USB + CAN is a great piece of tool but I think it’s time to consider up-grading on the new generation Hex V2 or Hex Net.

Our web site is pretty clear that 2019 models/modules do not communicate via a HEX+CAN. It requires a current interface. I am doubtful any will speak through your HEX+CAN on the 2019 Golf.

As to the software, you can download the software from our web site any time. It is free to do so because the license required to run the software is built into the interface device.
