Hello.
I really would like to retrofit the newer 8" display in my Mk7 R. It's currently running MIB2 / VW Composition without Navi. (using Apple Carplay instead)
I have read somewhere that the 3Q0-Headunits does not function with the newer 5G6-screens.

Here is my current OEM setup:
Address 5F: Information Electr. (J794) Labels:| 5G0-035-MIB-STD2.clb
Part No SW: 3Q0 035 842 A HW: 3Q0 035 842 A
Component: MU-S-D-ER 620 0624
Serial number:
Coding: 02730000FF00000051111101008808001F0207C40120010002
Shop #: WSC 01357 011 00200
ASAM Dataset: EV_MUStd4CDELP 001001
ROD: EV_MUStd4CDELP_VW37.rod
VCID: 2B73357D4294C1DE8E-807E

Operating And Display Unit 1:
Subsystem 1 - Part No SW: 3G0 919 605 B HW: 3G0 919 605 B
Component: ABT_Std-2 H43 4064
Serial number: VWZ6Z9S1052295

Can anyone confirm that the 5G6 919 605 C works with my 3Q0 035 842 A MIB2 unit?

I did exactly what you want to do, retrofitted the 8" screen on my MIB2 Composition Media. works 100% :)

totally plug and play, you'll just have to clear the error with the XOR calculation method.

Same here. Even the APP button works like it should.
