I have a 2017 NAR Tiguan S Limited with a factory installed 5K0-953-569-AJ clock spring. I ordered a turn signal stalk with Cruise Control and installed it. I coded the 5K0-953-569-AJ for Cruise Control (which it supports, based on the Steering Wheel Modules table here - http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/inde...ntrol_Module_Versions#Part_Number_5K0-953-569).
The Steering Wheel module accepted the coding fine. I then coded the Engine module with the Cruise Control function and it too accepted that coding just fine.
Initially, I assumed this would be all I needed to do - since all the functionality for the Cruise Control function should already be included with various electronic modules installed on the car... That was a bad on me for not doing more research upfront, but I have since read more on the Wiki Ross-Tech forum and I understand there may be a wiring component needed for this - from the Steering Wheel Module to the ECU.
Though there is mentioning of newer Tiguans potentially not needing this wire anymore, I believe my car does because even after successfully coding both modules mentioned above, the Cruise Control function still does not work.
Searching the web, I also found a Cruise Control retrofitting kit for the Tiguan Limited vehicles, which appears to include a wire. It is the 5K0-054-690-E kit.
I have extra VW repair wires from other retrofits and upgrade projects, so I'm good there, but can't seem to find any notes or direction on the wiring diagram for this retrofit - I can't even seem to locate a basic wiring diagram for the ECU, or the pinout for the Steering Wheel Module plug. On the latter, Wiki Ross-Tech does indicate using Pin-5 (For Steering Wheel Control Module P/N 5K0-953-549-* and 5K0-953-569-* check Connector/Pin T16/5), so I think I'm good there...
Does anyone here have a link to the ECU wiring diagram for the 2nd Gen Tiguan (NAR MY-2012 - 2018)? Or, any thoughts on the retrofit process?
