I’m a new and happy owner of Hex-V2. I also like your forum. But my interest is very different from what seems to be most of the posters and I wonder if I am all alone.
I got the scanner so that I could track condition of the car if/when it began to deteriorate, avoid unnecessary work (by others) and get rid of the car long before it becomes a junkyard dog.

I am too old/stiff/under equipped at this stage of my life to enjoy fixing cars as a hobby. I will save data on fuel trims, timing chain adaptation, pending DTCs and the like. I keep wear data on brake parts and tires so I am not relying on suspect information. I also do a small amount of maintenance myself but only if is clearly more convenient.

So I have some very unimportant questions which may help me understand what I’m looking at in general.

The following information (from blockmaps) does not apply to my car or is just not quite right:
IDE04213 Central locking button not coded/not installed. It is.
IDE02744 Energy management-Steering wheel heater Enabled. I do not have that heater.
IDE01842 Usable battery charge 100 Ah. Battery is 72Ah
The question really is, are these discrepancies just oddball and not typical.
Possible to code this?

IDE02416 Left rear exterior door handle touch sensor-Coding information Not coded

Is this reliable or just nominal?
DE01841 Battery internal resistance 51 mOhm

Surprises:
Got a DTC “ 2nd key battery low current. Wow.
Autoscan does not auto-save unlike ad/block maps.

BTW the car shows no DTCs, runs perfectly and I intend to keep it so long as it remains reliable.

Thanks for replying but I CBA to dig into this, it's not that important. Probably 09 Central Electric and 19 CAN Gateway, 80% certain. Don't bother unless it's very easy.
BTW my Autoscan did not scroll before you replied, now it does.

IDE01842 -- Usable battery charge exists in CAN Gateway. The units (defined by VW!) are Ah. However, I see no sign of a battery management system in your car. Hence the Gateway really doesn't know what the battery's state-of-charge or other status is, and I suspect 100 is simply a default value when there's no BMS. The same applies to IDE01841 -- Battery internal resistance, 51 mOhm seems quite high, but without a BMS, the car has no way to calculate that. FWIW, I dumped data from a 2015 Touareg TDI earlier today that does have a BMS. Battery internal resistance read 3.6 mOhm.

IDE04213 -- Central locking button. This is indeed in your BCM. I honestly don't know why it shows "not coded/not installed". It's possible it references a different button than the one you're thinking of? I don't know your car well, but I would guess your central locking switch is in the driver's door?

IDE02744-- Energy management-Steering wheel heater. This is also in your BCM. OK, you don't have a heated steering wheel. So there's nothing to manage. FWIW, if I lived in Canada, I'd really want a heated steering wheel. ;)

I couldn't find IDE02416 --Left rear exterior door handle touch sensor in either of these modules and I'm not hunting through them all, sorry.

Overall, this car looks pretty happy.
