Hello! I have recently bought a 2015 A3 cabrio. The previous owner removed the original infotainment that was the 8V0035870B and 8V0857285B. The car now has the 8V0035889 with a screen that emerges from the dashboard (I do not know the screen’s part number). He changed the panel between the two front seats, so it now has the round knob with the buttons. He also changed a part that am not sure of its use, so the old part was the 5Q0907530AA and the new is the 5Q0907530E. The system also has two cameras (one in the front and one in the rear). The two cameras are probably aftermarket. The front camera is enabled when I press the “menu” button and the rear camera is enabled when I select the reverse gear. The system works fine regarding the music and the cameras but when I choose the “car” menu I get a message that says, “Car system not available”. A technician told me that the unit is not coded, something I also derived from the diagnostic report. The same technician tried to reprogram the unit via ODIS but without luck. The report that I have is unfortunately in Greek, so I translated the part relevant to the infotainment. Until now nobody seems to be able to fix it (neither Audi officials nor freelance technicians). Any help would be hugely appreciated. Should anyone think that any part of the rest of the report is needed I will translate it and send it. Thank all of you in advance!

Hi

We would need a full autoscan of the car with a legitimate VCDS cable to assist. However, retrofits delve into an area that require lots of skill, patience, luck and money!! Be warned...

^^hmm.... according the the thread descriptor - this part of the forum is "[f]or questions about repairs where VCDS isn't involved at all".

myounus's correctly posed request for an auto-scan kind-of confirms that it might be a huge stretch to fit the subject matter in the first post into this part of the forum - perhaps?

Well, the data the OP posted isn't from VCDS, so.... ;)
