There doesn't seem to be much info about this fault,
it has been looked into thoroughly in the past changing the filler valve didn't cure it,
changing the module also didn't cure it,
so my guy who had been through the wiring diagram could only cure it by bypassing the valve and wiring in a resistor,
that cured it for sometime but now its back, any ideas?

The fault code above means the [J197-Adaptive suspension control unit] sees a shorted wire to ground to the [E472-Tyre pressure operating unit].

So if replacing the J197 and the E472 did not fix the concerns, it sounds like an 'overlay' harness will be the next logical step.

Be sure you have checked these steps too.... Testing - Open Circuits, Short to Ground or Positive, etc....


Just wanting to explain things a bit here and to help others understand the details:
  • The [E472] is connected to the [J197-Adaptive suspension control unit] via three wires.
  • There are two 'normally open' (NO) switches in the E472, with Pin-2 being the common.
  • The T4v connector is on the E472, located in the front passenger footwell.
  • The E472 is sometimes called the "Tire Inflation 'Cut-off' Control Head".
  • The J197 is located in the right side of the rear cargo area, behind the trim cover.

We do recommend the use of the Official Factory Repair Information.

OP remove FOD and perform repair that comports with RTFB please.
