Good day!

I'm new to this forum! I own a VW Up! TSI 90 HP and I hope you guys can help me with below?

See screenhots and autoscan below. Both on mobile and desktop the exact same values are checked in advanced measurements.

Almost every value is different and this is measured at the exact same day and time, without the (cold) engine being started in between.

Please note that the adaptation for lower stop and upper stop are at about 35 mV higher on the desktop (same as uncond volt) than on the mobile. This is because I did a IDE03869-Test: charge pressure actuator in between the readings. The readings will go down by about 35 mV again once I start driving (is that normal btw?). Those are the only ones that are the same displayed on mobile as on desktop.

All the other values are completely different. I hope someone can help me with this. Thank you.

I did wonder how you managed to connect with both VCDS and VCDS-Mobile concurrently?

But I agree that doesn't explain some of the very different readings...

Haha yeah ok, you're right. First I did the mobile and after I took a desktop screenshot. Can't do it both at the same time ;) I basically meant, engine hasn't been started in between the readings ;)

Alexander: Hi.

hmm........... are the variations in readings really of concern given the time required to change from mobile to desktop? Some variations appear to be not unreasonable as a percentage of the underlying value and in others (like turbine inlet: offset - open), the difference may well be within acceptable limits over the switch-across time?

Perhaps a method for determining what is an acceptable variation with time - is to graph the suspect variable on desktop mode first (VCDS has a really neat facility for doing this) - maybe?

Once you understand the permissible rate-of-change of the metric ("first derivative" if you are a maths nerd-like me) -the difference in values across the switch-over time to the alternative VCDS-mode will make more sense (I think)

I have that reaction to some of them, but others are different enough to bother me.

I'm confident this will get looked at.

Thank you for your reply!
The values in both mobile and desktop stay pretty much the same as shown in the screenshots. I've been keeping an eye on them for a couple of weeks now (I use mobile vcds when I go to work to monitor some values during driving) and there's not much of a difference when I log in to desktop vcds when I'm home. I mean, the 'desktop values' stay the same and the 'mobile values' stay the same. So the differences between them also stay the same (pretty much).

But as I don't like the readings on them both anyway, I'm going to try a new wastegate actuator, see if that brings some normal readings with it.

I have that reaction to some of them, but others are different enough to bother me.

I'm confident this will get looked at.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on it!

One thing:

I went back to VCDS 19.6.2 today. Result:

Slightly difference at IDE4302. Seems to be in a different order.

Label file is still 04E-907-309-V1.clb

Niels has helped us compare some simulated data to ODIS (the manufacturer's reference tool) and it looks like VCDS desktop is correct. We'll be working on a fix for mobile.
