VW T6 DSG torque limiter removal??

hi all

i have just purchaced VDCS to make some changes to my 2016 T6 DSG. one of the changes i would like to make is removal of the torque limiter within the DSG/engine. before i purchased VDCS i done some reasearch to see what i had to do :cool:

, and seen most people de activated "start vibration control" or somthing along those lines. i received the vdcs lead today ran straight out to my van after i set it all up and im now sat here scratching my head as i cannot find the option i need? :banghead:

i have found things similer to do with torque settings but the options seem to have to be a numerical value as apposed to activate/deactivate.

the reason for this is i currently have a CAFA 180 bi tdi engine with a stage 1 mapp. I would like to actually feel the added torque i released from the mapp!!!.

sorry if this has been covered many times but i could not find much about it.

Go to a good tuner, and make proper DSG remap. Removing limiter only will destroy your gearbox. Raise TQ limit, raise clutch pressures, change shift times and you will see a diference. And no, this is not possible with VCDS.

You need to do extensive research in my opinion it a going to cause wear tear a lot more quicker the Usain lightning bolt. Had a golf Mk7.5 gone within 2 months car will not move an inch. luckily I was under warranty even than they haggled me over because Clutch and flywheel were not part of the warranty it’s a service requirement

Please post an Auto-Scan so we can see exactly what TCU you've got.

But please note: I'm not in any way endorsing this change. I believe the other folks are correct; it's not the right way to do this.

thanks for replys, yes i understand the risks involved. when the van was mapped the company who did it offered to "match the torque of the mapp to the DSG" for a fee of course!!, quite high too!!. i was offered this as a option without the need for a remap of the dsg tune. i was told that if i had a DSG tune too then i would not be charged for the torque match as it would be part of the DSG remap. this is when i started to look into to it myself and realised/thought that what they were offering as a option was to plug in a VCDS and carry out the adjustment of the torque settings. The price of the torque match was just over half the price of a vcds cable!!
