Hi there, I am new to this forum. I have read several post about this issue and looking for some help or direction of where to go?
I had a local shop diagnose my troubles and verified it was the abs module that went bad. I recently purchased one from ecs tuning.
I did the auto scan and saved the file to my desktop. Then I opened up the abs system and retrieved the long coding and other numbers perhaps needed.
Installed the new abs module, connected to VCDS and have tried to enter new long coding and get this message..
"VCDS has detected a change in coding length. Are you sure you want to continue?"
Believing that I have the correct coding information from the previous abs module I select "Yes".
Then this message pop up - "This appears to be an uninitialized control module, valid WSC/Importer/Equipment data may be required. Click Yes for VCDS to use defalt values of 12345/123/12345. Click No for VCDS to try the values currently in the module. Click cancel to manually edit the values."
What I have read on this forum and researched seems like I am at the point where I could use some direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Eddie
