So I'm a bit of a dolt and started tracking my 2012 A4 Sedan after space constraints necessitated one car as a do all be all and hey, I already owned it.
Been having a lot of fun with it but have noticed the Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) rearing its ugly head when I'd rather it didn't. Despite doing the "long press" on the ESP button to shut the stability control down completely the EDL seems to be staying active ~60mph, so the brakes aren't cooling as often as they could be on technical circuits like the Ridge or Oregon Raceway Park.
Updated the brakes to the Q5 Brembo front with Girodiscs and S4 vented rears with StopTechs last year as I wanted to add power this year. While the brakes can take the heat I'd rather let the car understeer or lose a bit of traction and compensate with change in driving tactic or suspension settings. I think the EDL is hiding shoddy throttle management, and I don't want it helping me anymore.
On my wife's MKVI GTI track-toy, there's a fancy little box we unchecked that removed "Extended XDS". I can't seem to find that option for the EDL in the presently installed modules.
Any suggestions in cracking the ESP/ABS module in getting the EDL threshold reduced overall or outright off with the ESP long press?
