New VCDS user and its great - trying Haldex pump relearn question?

Hello,

I’ve had my VCDS a few days and have done a few scans on our vehicles, 1 x 2014 Skoda Octavia and 1 x 2005 VW Passat 1.9 TDI.

I have saved the initial auto scans from both vehicles, and do this each time I run VCDS and run a scan before looking at anything else, I hope this is good practice?

I have recently carried out a Haldex service, removing the pump and cleaning everything out, new ‘o’ rings and drain and fill plugs, and new oil.

There are no AWD fault codes in -22 AWD.

I was hoping to do a relearn on the pump motor, after cleaning with VCDS, but was met with the following error message.

Error: conditions not correct or request sequence error.

I will try and post more info when I get to my laptop again, including full scan file, apologies.

Any guidance appreciated,

MAS02928 -- Pump motor

However, I'm not sure what the appropriate procedure for invoking it is.

I think that would be a Gen 4 Haldex unit looking at the scan, so probably different to the procedure I posted a few weeks ago.

This is the information I observed, I selected MAS02928 - Pump Motor, and selcted 'Go' and I could not operate the motor,and generated the error message; it is probably the appropriate procedure i need.

Hopefully someone will oblige with the correct procedure that has carried this out.

Its definately a Haldex 5 I have no filter and the control unit is on the side of the unit, i have pictures but am a bit of a novice when it come to posting images.

Viking - thank you :thumbs:

I have now followed your procedure - and run the pump motor until the ‘learning cycle’ was completed, you can hear the pump working, and waited until it had finished.

I viewed the pump % and amperage, and this looks much healthier now, thank goodness.

The bit I didn’t do this morning, was start the engine and then run the pump motor, I did it with ignition on only!

Brilliant help and advice, and I am impressed with VCDS.

I would also like to thank haldexrepairs.co.uk for the info on the website, thank you too.
