I installed on my 2009 Scirocco the steering wheel of the multifunction Scirocco 2014 the keys work the horn also works but the keys do not light!

I found a guide that says to weld a wire from the second pin and so I did but only the left keys are lit (in the guide it says that in this way both the right and left buttons light up) so I soldered another cable always on the second pin and I welded it in the same position on the right buttons (as indicated by another guide) but doing so do not work neither the buttons nor the horn and there is the error!

by unsoldering the cable that arrives at the right controls everything runs smoothly and the left buttons light up

How can I solve?

there are 2 ways to solve this, first is to solder switched power on board (+12v) to leds so that when ignition is on they light up, you need to solder on both left and right board i cant remember where to solder, it was long ago...
second is to upgrade your steering module from 1K0 to 5k0, extend wires and solder new connector, also you will have to replace stalks left and right (turn signal and flasher stalk both and also base), to do that you will have to remove ignition lock, and to do that you will have to drill screws since they are anti tamper screws
if you decide to upgrade to new steering module there are two version 549 and 569, they are not interchangeable also stalks and base is different together with ignition cable.

you don't need a wire from one side to other, power is already sent

1K0 ...CH even if show LIN 2.0 supporting is not full LIN 2.0
Swap to 5K0 SWCM and then all will work as should
Or , you can keep 1K0 SWCM and install special converter and install latest MFSW with CCS

some have only soldered one wire and it works others have soldered two wires and it works I do not understand why it does not work and if I balance the two wires nothing works and there is the communication error!

6C0 buttons from polo (6C0 959 442) will work and illuminate even with and without cruise control buttons, even on old CH module. 1K8 buttons work on old modules but no illumination, so maybe it's better to replace them?
The 6C0 without letter has no cruise and works ok, version C has standard cruise buttons, D adaptive cruise.
Cruise buttons will not work while other buttons will work fine. All buttons will be illuminated and you will have no errors just buttons that don't work.

6C0 work ok, if you not have Bluetooth such as 3C8 or 7P6 .
with bluetooth , unfortunatelly 6C0 not work correct

it is not convenient for me to upgrade the entire steering area to turn on the right buttons too

the rest works without problems
all the keys work, it's just the lighting of the right keys that does not go!
