I purchased a T5 Caravelle Executive for my wife a few months back and electric sliding doors have been causing us a bit of grief, usually when trying to strap my youngest in.

The sliding door will open as usual, however it will then try and shut automatically, squashing me or my wife in the process. My wife managed to catch it in the act this morning.

It's been back to the garage who reset the door via the buttons on the dash and it was fine for a week or so, but now it's doing the same thing.

Any thoughts or anyone seen this before?

There are no faults logged on the door control modules.

Cheers,

Martyn

Seems like something has to be requesting that door to close, no?

I don't know the T5 well at all, but you might want to poke around the MVBs in the relevant systems to see if you can catch something misbehaving.

Bad ground, sticky switch condition, wiring or water ingress somewhere causing a corrosion bridge back feed!

Inspect, Isolate and verify!

FOD lurks everywhere like a ghost!
