Hello,

I need to get the big digital speedometer on our 2012 Tiguan and, from what I gather, the only way to accomplish that is to switch from NAR to RoW. To make it worse, I need it in the “alternate” unit.

What are the implications of doing that, though?
Would I lose anything by making that change?

Thank you for any clues.

Edit, please see this post for an autoscan: https://forums.ross-tech.com/showth...ter-ignition-off&p=93653&viewfull=1#post93653

Not sure. The RT fleet includes a 2012 and a 2013, but neither of them have exactly the same instrument cluster as yours.

Yours: 5N0 920 872 B
Dana's 2012: 5N0 920 972 E
Our 2013: 5N0 920 973 B

So even if we tried this in one of our clusters, YMMV.

granted I'm sure its entirely different than your vehicle, but I have had my 07 jetta set to ROW for years now and the only thing that is visibly different is the temp is in Celsius and the clock is in 24 hour format.

Thank you for your input.

This may be a dead end, because I need to have the big display in the "alternate" unit, which doesn't seem to be possible with VCDS.
Jetta was very kind to try and post details (in another thread that I had) and explained that the big display would be in the same units as the analog speedometer, so I think I am SOL.
