I am using my VCDS cable to read the battery temperature and state of charge on my e-Golf. I have a OBD2 wifi adapter and using the Android app "Torque" I am trying to set a custom PID in the app so it can display the battery temp and state of charge like I am doing with advanced measuring values with my VCDS. Does anyone know how to set up custom PID values in the Torque app (it asks for PID and EQUATION)?

Can you find the info you want via Generic OBD-II in VCDS?

Remember, most of the data VCDS can show is not "generic OBD-II", meaning "PID" numbers don't apply.

If I go to the Generic OBD-II I can only see about 8 parameters, none of which apply to the e-Golf, so I guess the battery temperature is not a generic OBD-II data point and there is no applicable PID number for it.

Thanks for the help!

Funny thing about BEV cars: Since they are intrinsically zero emissions vehicles, I would suppose there is not requirement for them support generic OBD-II at all.
