I have a Seat Leon mk2 from 2009. I have three alarms on my instrument panel. ABS, ESP and Tire pressure.
My initial idea was that the ABS sensor was faulty, so I tried to change it - no luck. I then tried to change the wheel bearing to rule out the magnetic strip on the wheel bearing back side - again no luck. I again went back to the ABS sensor and measured the resistance. Around 760 ohm. I googled to find a value for these sensors. I did not find something specific for the brand (Topran) but old random threads in different forums suggested the value to be in between 1000-2000 ohm. So I went back to the shop and got a replacement sensor. Measured this one and got the same value ~760 ohm.
For fun, I tried to exchange the ABS sensor with a 1000ohm resistance and the fault went away.
Does anybody know the resistance value of these sensors?
At this moment I'm a bit lost in terms of fixing the problem. I have not tried to buy a new sensor from another supplier. But is that the best way? Any ideas? The sensor is not cheap.
