A6 2018 C7 - CD ripping to juke box

Aim: to rip audio CDs to the duke box.
Tried to enable the so called hidden menu but this doesn’t seem possible on my 2018 A6.

I read Dana’s information on the forum regarding SA codes and S12345 does not work.

I’m trying to enable the developer mode as I think this will enable the CD Ripping option so I can transfer CDs to the juke box. Just need to enable the correct hidden menu.

Under Adaptation, IDE02122-Developer mode is currently ‘not activated’ and setting this to ‘activated’ returns ‘Request out of range’.

I’ve been using VCDS for years (since the MK1 TT, VW Lupo, Polo, A5, Passat, and now my A6). I’m using the Gendan HEX+CAN USB cable and it’s been brilliant so far.

Current VCDS 18.2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't need developer / green menu for this. Go in to 5F > Adaptations and look for "Copy multimedia data-Optical drive" and change to "On"

I found the option you mentioned and set the value from OFF to ON (verified it too) then reset the MMI but the DVD source is greyed out when selecting the Copy to juke box option. I tried with a couple of different audio CDs and a DVD but no joy. Any ideas?

Also found another option ‘Copy multimedia data-Data medium’ but did not change as it was already set to On.

Interesting, have never tested this myself as I have a different vehicle but have activated it for many customers without complaints. Will test the next time I can a car over.

My very point. It doesn’t copy from CD or DVD and I assume it’s to do with copy protection which renders the HDD jukebox useless. But I am happy for someone to tell me differently so I can enable a setting (safely).

TBAx wouldn't mislead you. He only tweaked one Bit and the Experimental LCH (with a current interface) would load this data in 24/5:

Ok, changed byte 24 bit 5 and the new coding was accepted. I restarted the MMI but the copy jukebox option from the CD/DVD is still greyed out.

“It is not possible to copy the data from this CD/DVD”. That’s any disc I try.

Any ideas?
