2015 Audi A3 - No Sound!

Can you guys please help?

Out of nowhere, audio starting crackling. Sounded kind of fuzzy, then gave out entirely. No sound through the speakers (including phone, radio, media, navigation).

I have done nothing to the car in terms of modifications are repairs in the last year or so.

Note that the 5F unit has been intentionally blocked from communications, as it was retrofitted 3 years ago with navigation. It has never been a problem.

Since you have no 47-Sound System (amplifier), I would suppose that all your speakers are directly connected to the 5F module, and since that module is intentionally "blocked" from communicating, there's no way to know whether it might have fault codes that would be pertinent to your problem...

Would anyone know if there are any fuses or anything of the like that could also cause the sound to stop?

The only weird thing is that the sound has come back and gone again two times while driving.

I'm curious why those 2 EODB II codes are showing U915250 U915350, 7 characters when they normally EODB II codes show 5 as U1014 shows?

EODB II codes B, C, P, U

B - Body
C - Chassis
P - Powertrain
U - Network

I've had a 7 character code before but I ignored that one because I didn't find a solution.

U1014 - [New feature! Extended UDS fault detail is only supported by current gen. interfaces] when I've had U1014 for years.

Thank you, Jack. I appreciate the help and guidance. I did not realize that there is an amp. Sorry, but I am definitely a noob in regards to some of these things!

I read through the fuses and cannot find anything related to the amplifier or Audi Sound System. I haven't been able to determine the location of the amplifier, though. Can someone point me in the right direction? I have ElsaWin, but it isn't the easiest to find some components.

To properly address the other background information:

Elsawin is for factory techs and internal VAG personnel or external authorized and if you had access to a real licensed version you would know how to navigate it, further you would realize it is obsolete right?

That said........ make your way to ERWIN and or learn how to use a search button.

I am nor will anyone be dumb enough in this forum to tell you how to navigate a potentially stolen copy written repair manual, unless you provide me credentials to support otherwise....do you have them...... I am all ears?
