I have just installed a 9w7 bluetooth module in a vw touran and coded it. Its working well but the module came from a seat leon and is callet seat-bt. When i try to change the name in adaptation it says error please use 31 alphanumeric characters. How do i get around this as the current name isnt that long?

That issue should be fixed in the upcoming Beta 15.4, please try that one once it's published and let us know about the results.

There are no "due" dates on new versions.

In fact, I would say chances are good the version number will be 15.5 rather than 15.4. ;)

Q: Why not just call the next release 15.4?

A: This one is 0.1 newer.

Also, it's May. That's the 5th month, in the 15th year. :thanks:

Trivia question: What was the first "Release" (as opposed to Beta) version of our product and when was it released?

Is this an open-book quiz? ;)

More interesting trivia, Phaeton support existed in your third Release ever. Boy, has that been a long row to hoe. :)

Cheater! :p

Well, the fact that we added a whole bunch of fault code texts for Phaetons and T'regs doesn't mean 303 worked real well on them. In fact, I'd say the first Release that worked reasonably well on those cars was 311 (some months after we leased a V8 T'reg), and it wasn't until sometime in 2004 when a certain international man of mystery showed up at the RT Legacy Center that we had anything resembling workable W12 support.

Ah, yes, Release 303 - "...Adds the long awaited Auto-Scan ("00-scan") feature"

:Sigh:

So it's been 12 years since we started asking people to, "Post a dang Auto-Scan!"

Hi Stephen,

I have access to a Telephone controller that this can be duplicated on in addition to the latest tester EXE so I need to make sure it is fixed - but I cannot provide a date that that will become available on our website. (We need to make sure it is stable before releasing it into the wild).

Hi,

I have download the beta version today but I am still unable to rename the bluetooth module under adaptation. It says please use 31 character name. Is this a software bug or am i missing something?

Have you tried padding out the name with other characters or spaces to get 31 characters; even just to 'humour' the module? :)

I tried using underscore and it still didnt accept it. I dont really want a massive random name. Seems like a bug in vcds

Same results here but spaces should work if you absolutely need to change the default name.
