Dealer telling Porkies?

Terribly sorry did not know where to post this. Purchased 2015 GTI and performed autoscan after initial break-in period. Car has not reached first service interval but son brought it to dealer near his college for issues unrelated to scan(difficulty shifting). Car presently has around 3K miles but is not in area to rescan. VW dealer there states that there are no error codes when they scanned the car and that they use different numbers to describe codes? Is this just someone taking advantage of 21 year old and is he getting the run-a-round? All we did was scan the car nothing else except disable the childish sound making device on firewall. Was waiting for first service to address codes that came with car.

Update to the current version please. There's a checkbox that lets you turn off "Agressive Mode" on the Auto-Scan. It would be interesting to see if any of those codes disappear if you turn it off, so do two scans please, one with Agressive Mode on and one with it off.

Once you've done that, if it were mine, I would clear all those faults and not worry about any of them unless they come back. They all seem to "nuisance" faults that occurred in the first 100 miles or so.

What exactly are you complaining about? Have you any issues with the car other that what you think is a problem shown by a scan?? At pdb these things should be cleared down before handing over to a customer but alas this does not always happen as sales/service staff are too pushy for figures to make their efficiency rates look good.

Thanks Uwe, totally my fault of course i tried to edit post with the code brackets and it ended up posting twice. My bad. I will scan the car again when it comes back to town. Was just wondering if the dealer is looking at the same codes and telling us there are none? Why not just tell him that? I did not want to clear them until the first service.

Not sure I was complaining but as I explained to Uwe I prefer people to just be upfront and tell us "nuisance codes". That I can understand. I can even understand people being lazy and not clearing them before delivery. What I dont understand is outright denial? So I guess the answer to my question is that they are in fact looking at the same codes but dont consider them noteworthy. Thats why I posted in the first place. Problems with the car definetly but nothing to do with scan which is why I posted it where I did.

Depending on how they are using the factory tool, it is possible it won't show some fault codes that VCDS does show in Aggressive Mode. We'd like to know if that's the case. This is peculiarity in the way fault codes are read from modules that use the UDS format. If codes disappear when when you uncheck aggressive mode, then they are not lying.

Did you "clear everything" before doing those scans? You see to have a lot fewer fault codes now than earlier in this thread, and the fault codes in the above tow scans look the same to me.

No, I did these scans on the car when it first came home before we did any work and then cleared them. I did not scan the car after I cleared them as he will be home for Christmas. They look the same to be as well. One was in aggressive and one with agressive unchecked.

Quick question, blue tooth on this car now bricked, tot, machine kaput. Would this have something to do with address 19 where there was the fault found in these scans?

This car doesn't appear to have a separate Bluetooth module; I think it's integrated in 5F. My money would be on a flaky 5F module, which the Gateway (module 19) may have picked up on -- that is if I were a speculative betting man. ;)
