Hello there!
I have a 2012 GLI Autobahn w/Nav and I am residing in California.
I bought a set of OEM LED tail lights and coded byte 18 to B4. Currently, everything works, but when I use signals, the entire tail light blinks. I've been driving it like that for a half a year, but now I want to get it coded right.
Do you think you guys can help me out?
I currently have OEM halogen headlights and OEM LED tails.
I have included a vagcom scan for you guys.

Have a go at entering "21" as the Byte 18 value.

Documented in the following video. Just fast forward to 07:28. This is obviously on a GTI and not a GLI but certainly worth a try.

You have the same series of BCM and appeared to have the same setup as that guy so it was definitely worth a shot. You've lost nothing by trying and at least you can now cross that value off the list of codes to try.

Unfortunately with the magic Byte 18 value and retrofits you're pretty much resigned to using the time consuming trial and error approach. Where did you get the "B4" value from or was that also just through trial and error?

All you can do it try values listed in the Byte18.pdf document by filtering out ones that are specific to NAR and then give them a go.

Also, there is a bit of information at the end of the following document but whether any of them work will work for your particular setup is anyone's guess...

Of course, you may already know all of this but none of us are mind readers so we don't actually know what it is you do already know. At least any relevant info is all in one place in this thread to try and help anyone else who may find themselves in the same boat :)
