What is "G13 PLUS+" Coolant???

Hello,

I go to the local VW dealer today to buy some coolant, and they give me this "G13 PLUS+" coolant.

Anyone seen this "G13 PLUS+" coolant before?

Is there any difference between "G13 PLUS+" and "G13" coolant?

Well, I haven't been working at VW / Audi for about half a year now, so I might have missed something new. But I've never seen G13 +. Especially since the can looks like it was from the 80s. There are no such cans here in Germany. Or as I said, I missed a new retro design. Perhaps the G13 + is actually available for a different market. No idea.

I live in South Africa, maybe this is a South Africa market only coolant.

It is entirely possible. Some of the vehicles are designed for different climatic conditions. For this reason maybe a different coolant. The important thing is whether it can be mixed with what is currently in your car. VW has a list for this case. Unfortunately I cannot add any here because my list does not contain G13 +.

I will flush my car with distilled water a few times, before adding those coolant into my car.

G13 needs to be mixed at a 40% mix with distilled water. G12 EVO now is for RS and S models E-tron and the new 2020 A3.
