Hello
2010 audi S4
A/C stopped working, I don’t think the compressor is kicking in?
Hooked up a set of gauges w/car running and had 85lbs on low side and 125 on high side.
Ran vag and HVAC had no fault codes.
Ck the 2-5amp fuses and they were both good
Any help would be greatly appreciated
TY

Hi, as far as I know the compressor is regulated internally. Please check whether the signal is present at the compressor. A common cause of the Audi 8K was a cable break in the wiring harness behind the left fender. There is a wiring harness running from the interior to the engine compartment. Sometimes there is no visible external damage. The insulation has to be removed, then some traces of oxidation can be seen. There is another weak point, a cable break in the interior. However, an error is usually set for the pressure switch here.

Not sure if this was touched on, but if you end up replacing the compressor, it will most likely require some sort of "Run-In" before the AC works. This is some sort of relearn that needs to happen. If everything is to factory design it will do this on its own after +20 minutes at idle (most of the time). With some versions of HVAC out there, VCDS can be used to request the Run-In and get results much faster. Links for some examples noted on our B109E wiki page.
