Hi! I am a newbie - bear with me - I tried to search the forum for guidence on how to trouble shoot further.
I am wondering if the fault code is another sensor related problem, or symptoms of an EGR valve problem.

Previously I got the error code: 15984 - Manifold Pressure / Boost Sensor (G31)
I replaced the boost sensor and the car was fine for a couple of weeks. Now I have a new error code on the EGR Sensor.
What do you think? The car has had the EA189 update but that is a couple of years now and should probably not be connected.

Can I ask your advice? Is there a way to further check the sensor or the EGR valve?

Since it is intermittent, does it come back if you clear the code?

Have you verified the electrical paths for the G212 EGR sensor are to factory design? I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like /1 and /3 will be a 5V reference signal. And generally /2 is the data back to the ECM T60/4.

in my experience and -ive done a lot of these but not on a 1.2....yet- the mechanical part sticks most of the time giving a low signal.

with the time you have to spend to remove them it normally just makes more sense to replace the part. dont buy aftermarket ones as they tend to be junk and are not that much cheaper than oe parts. or just blank it and map it out get a little power boost and no more light for less money.
