2011 Q7 4L Trailer hitch retro fit

Hello all from Paris France,

I have recently installed a Westfalia after market trailer hitch along with “Trail Tec” trailer module.

I have completed the coding successfully on the Gateway (J533 / #19), the Brake Electronics (J104 / #03), the Level Control (J197 / #34), the Parking Aid (J446 / #76), the Rear View Camera (J772 / #6C), Lane Change Assist (J769 / #3C but I am still unable to code the Engine Control Module (J623 / #01) for which my long coding assistant does not offer any option as well as the coding of the Distance Regulation (J428 / #13) which does not work anymore since the installation of the trailer module.


I have looked on the Ross Tech wiki (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Trailer_Hitch_Retrofitting_(4L)) but did not find else much to do.

Would appreciate if anyone could share its thought on that.

I got it work by folllowing you instruction: Ignition ON and engine NOT running. Thanks !
The code was accepted and it seems that it works when I launch the ACC padle. Will verify this on the road when it's less busy traffic tonight and will let you know.

The 00234 error remains however which is a bit strange because I did not have before installing the trailer hitch. Maybe it will disapear while driving.

Yes indeed; my mistake it is the 01044 erreor message that I was able to clear out after driving.

As far as for the Engine coding I will try again with long coding help but nothing appears when I try to display it.
