ABS/Steering angle issue

I'm trying to calibrate the steering angle sensor, when I log in to abs/measuring blocks/005, this is what I get:

The car is a 2001 Allroad with a bhw tdi swap. I replaced the steering rack during the swap. When I try to calibrate, turning the wheel nothing changes, stays at zero. Here is a full scan:

I say that you should first return the coding to the factory settings and take a look:

The problem here is that the ABS module is an Allroad-specific one and is likely never going to be happy in a car with no Level Control module, and an ECU that doesn't belong in an Allroad.

I tried to code it to the original code 06395, but it wouldn't accept it; keeps reverting back to 06355. Again, when I login to mb005, the steering angle is 0, and doesn't change when I turn the wheel.

What am I doing wrong???
I kept getting a 00778 code, steering angle sensor faulty, when I go to mb 005, it was zeros, and wouldn't change when I turned the wheel. So I replaced the steering angle sensor, checked mb005, it worked correctly; then, per the ross tech instructions for the steering angle sensor, went to basic settings04, mb001, and got error, not available message. Wasn't able to calibrate it. Trying different things, I cleared the fault codes, then when I went to mb005, it showed 0 again and turning the wheel did nothing. But the coding for the ABS seems to be updated.

That has always been a problem with C5/4B Allroads. The ABS is an Allroad-specific part that expects messages from the Suspension module. There is no coding that out. The same is true of another module or two; the Headlight Range module is one such, but you've either removed that or the car never had it to begin with, not sure.

Install the corresponding modules from a C5/4B A6 that had a standard suspension is one way.

Thanks, Uwe. That is my next move. I looked at some a6's at the boneyard, they had a different connector, but they might have been fwd, I've got a line on one off a a6 c5 quattro, if the plugs are the same I'll try that.

System Function Test -- very likely.

Powertrain Data Bus - Software Version Monitoring -- I'm less sure. That one is probably due to the ECU that isn't 100% compatible with your ABS.

I picked up an abs module from a non allroad a6 quattro. It came attached to the valve body; it looks like I'll have to swap the whole thing, can't figure out how to remove a couple of wires, (I can't seem to post a picture here). Before I disconnect all the lines, I plugged in the new/used module; vcds still sees the old module with the same coding and same fault codes. What do I have to do to get it to recognize the different module? Thanks in advance.

Yes, makes no sense! I disconnected the battery overnight to see if that would work; same result. I can delete the codes in the old module that is disconnected but they re-appear.

I thought that was the abs module; turns out the control module is under the carpet in the passenger footwell. Now, I've got a module from a non allroad a6 quattro in; the level control code is gone, I was able to login and code it to a 2.7 auto, I'm trying to code it to my 6mt diesel, but it won't change....

ABS coding a different ABS module

I'm trying to code a different ABS module; I've got an Allroad with the coil over conversion, and am trying to get rid of the abs light, the abs module is looking for the signal from the level control system. I've got a module from a c5a6 without the airbag setup. I am not able to login or code...
