First post on here guys,
I've been a multi vehicle tech for a while but fairly new to VCDS, Especially coding/long coding issues.
As stated above, vehicle was recovered in after being sat for a while with no power, managed to make the vehicle run and movable but never had any comms with the ABS. Owner has supplied a new unit from a donor vehicle of exactly the same year and model with the same part no's as his old one.
Now the unit communicates and i obviously have faults but the long coding is just a full list of zeros. I can see from searching that it's fairly common on these especially when the old coding cannot be retrieved. I have also tried a code supplied from the v2 generator but all i get is 'Error 31 - request out of range'.
Any help/advice on best method would be greatly appreciated
