Hi

Ive been asked if I can remove the speed limiter on a 2016 VW Caddy. I Carried out a full scan and it reports no ASAM dataset can anyone help with a dataset and which channel the speed limiter might be in? (I understand it might need a reflash to remove it)

I don't think it's possible to remove a speed limiter via normal diagnostics.

Just curious though, what speed is it limited to?

FWIW, there are 3 different types of speed limiters on most VWN models. The lowest level is intended by VWN to be enabled/disabled via diagnostics in a regular shop environment. The mid-level is similar, and while it's possible to easily enable it via diagnostics, disabling (while possible via diagnostics) isn't officially documented by VWN. The highest level (usually NOT relevant) is strictly in application/software itself (part of the flash in most current models).

I think it should be 60MPH but the chap said it seem to be about 57MPH on the speedo (Was going to be a local delivery van but been given to an area manager)
