Cruise Control not working, 2006 Jetta TDI Manual

I have been trying to diagnose the cruise control on a 2006 Jetta TDI.

All of the switches work in VCDS.
The brake and clutch switch also work.
The running lights are all working and so are the brake lights.

I checked the cruise in VCDS on our two other cars. The cruise does work on these cars.
2005 Passat TDI
2004 Jetta Wagon TDI

This is the only thing that I found was in Cruise Control Switch Monitoring.

With the car on (engine off) and the cruise switched on, this is what our two other cars were.

The only codes are Airbag codes.

What does "Stuck ON (Hardware)" mean?

I read that someone fixed a similar problem by replacing the accelerator pedal.

Does that have anything to do with cruise control?

Have you verified that cruise is activated with VCDS?

Stuck on hardware of what?

I would consider that CCS Switched On but those bits weren't standardized so I had to exclude ????XXXX in the charts on this page:

I did check mvb 006 and #16 steering, everything looked good.

No, never heard about it. Don't think so. But :cool:

I wondered the same with the Airbag issue but I don't know if that would cause inoperative CCS.

Either way, 15 isn't communicating and several modules in the car are complaining about No Signal/Communication so that should be diagnosed at some point.

I did see that clutch pedal switch.
If you turn the car on without starting and don't touch the clutch it will read that way.
As soon as you push the clutch in once, it will read correctly. I am guessing that it reads that way because it is a hall effect sensor.

The drivers door harness was replaced by the previous owner. The trunk and fuel door do not work. Can that have anything to do with cruise control?

Ok. I think that sensor will be the issue. Ignition on, pedal not moved "0". Ever.
Than after pushing the pedal, may be half way; switching to "1".

That's the way it works.

As soon as you start the car it works perfect. How would I know for sure that that is the problem?
